Poll Methodology
The State Boys Basketball Media Poll is determined by a simple points system based on how each voting media member ranks teams in each classification. A team receives five points for a first place vote, four points for a second place vote and so on down through the fifth place team, which receives one point. The rankings are set by listing the teams' point totals from highest to lowest.

Legend
W-L: Win-Loss Record
Pts: Number of points scored in poll
Pvs: Ranking from the previous week

If you take the time to look at opponents and margin of victory you should see that Lapwai is the obvious favorite to win it all but it should be equally obvious that Grace is the clear cut next in line then a gap followed by a group of 5 or 6 teams fighting for 3rd.

Lapwai is doing it yet again.
Must see TV as they say. Local watch indeed if you can this year. March state tournament for sure. Lapwai has already handily beat top teams in Idaho at the 5A level in cour de lane and lewiston, who have done well in recent years in sports at 4a and 5a. Lapwai run now is pushing past a decade when most runs by great teams sputter out after 5 or 6 years. Look at rocky mountain now? Very impressive and quite exceptional and exciting play to watch in person their games. Lapwai is the team to beat not just in 1A but all of idaho. Ambrose is lucky to have gotten enough parents to over pay for schooling to get them to 2a and not have to lose each year to teams up north from 1a in years past. Barely got the lone title they did years ago. Can't wait to watch lapwai again come March as I'm not near them to watch regularly. One of most impressive high school teams I've ever watch coming from IA schools in lapwai, ambrose, and salmon River when they had Leighton Vandereash. Now a Dallas cowboy and helping them into the playoffs coming up. Shout out to small schools coming up big for idaho. Don't need to send your kids to big schools to sit on the bench and not get noticed. Watch the 1 As this March state tournament boys bball.

Recent years team from
Garden valley and logos I believe and Prarie and grace longer ago have also been very impressive in state tournament runs. Dietrich as well and genesis prep.
